Cookie

  • Cookie is a little Poodle Mix with a big heart! She is 1 year and weighs 14 lbs. She was a stray taken in with Angel (adopted) by a kind lady who was unable to find their owner. She is an affectionate and playful little dog looking for a permanent, loving home.

Odie

  • Odie is a handsome 4 year old, 54 lb. Hound mix. He is a gentle dog with a sweet disposition and a laid back personality. Odie was rescued from a local shelter and he looking for a permanent home. He will be a welcome addition to a loving family!

Ozzie

  • Ozzie is a 6 month old, 23 lb. Rat Terrier mix. He is a playful little guy with a very nice temperament. He loves people and he gets along well with other dogs. Ozzie is looking for a permanent home with people who will love him and let him be a part of their lives.

Zada

  • Zada is a 2 year old, 56 lb. Hound mix. She has a very gentle nature and is truly affectionate. She especially likes to “hug” you. Zada is a wonderful dog who will make some caring person very happy.

Ginny

  • Ginny is approximately 6 months old and is a 30 lb. Black Lab mix. She was dumped in an isolated area and was very happy to be rescued. She is a very friendly, loving and enthusiastic pup and will make a great pet. Please come to see her and you won't be able to resist giving her the home she deserves.

Paige

  • Paige, a 3 year old, 22#, beautiful Beagle mix, was picked up by Animal Control while she was very pregnant and trying to run down a country road. Flag took in Paige and her five puppies (all adopted) when the pups were 2 days old. Paige has been a very good and caring mother. She has a loving disposition and thoroughly enjoys spending time with people. Now she deserves some love and care in a good home, and she will certainly be a welcome addition. She is truly a sweetheart!

FLAG no longer has a volunteer able to safehouse cats and kittens awaiting adoption. Please check your local animal shelter and/or the newspaper for cats and kittens available for adoption. Some great cat/kitten rescue groups include: CARE, Somebuddies Inc., Henrico Humane & Hanover Humane

Laney

  • Laney is a very affectionate 1 year old, 60 lb. Lab mix. She is extremely intelligent and very trainable. She loves people and other dogs! Laney is waiting for her perfect companion – someone who will spend time with her walking, playing, relaxing...she will make an excellent pet!

John Boy

  • John-Boy is a beautiful, 1 yr. old, neutered small/medium Boxer/Beagle (?) mix with a cropped tail. He was found without a collar or tags and no one has come forward to claim him.   • Angel and Cookie (below) are little Poodle Mixes with big hearts! Angel is 3 years old and weighs 12 lbs. Cookie is 1 year and weighs 14 lbs. They might be mother and daughter. They were strays taken in by a kind lady who was unable to find their owner. They are affectionate and playful little dogs looking for a permanent, loving home. They can be adopted together or individually.

Coby

  • WHAT A HANDSOME DOG!!! Coby is a black and white Purebred English Setter approximately 2 years old. He is a gentle soul with sad eyes. Coby is a little shy but he enjoys attention, especially a good rub and some treats. He gets along very well with other dogs. Coby will be a special pet for someone who will care for him.
