Conducts a no-cost
spay/neuter clinic on the first Wednesday of each month for feral and
stray cats and dogs; the clinic is held at the Richmond SPCA. Cats
seen at the clinic are sterilized and receive a rabies vaccination.
Additional vaccinations can be obtained but there is a fee. Each cat has
its left ear permanently cropped to identify it as an altered cat.

Ferals Prevent A Litter – Conducts a low-cost clinic for pets and ferals. Spays/neuters and vaccinations are at a lower cost (starting at $25 for a neuter). Reservations are required. For more information go to www.preventalitter.org or call 359-6369 – Pets and FeralsThe Richmond SPCA is providing free spay/neuter surgeries to owned cats within SPCA service areas through March 31, 2007. All residents in Richmond, Hanover, Henrico, Chesterfield and Goochland who own a cat are eligible to receive the free procedures, including rabies vaccination, regardless of household income.
